Half Full Yet?

“Half Full Yet?” encompasses the idea of reclamation and recovery from a distorted self-image, specifically the dynamic between the negative self-reinforcing cycle and growing self-discovery. The slow return to normalcy has facilitated a period of self-reflection and self-evaluation for many, which in turn opens doors for self-improvement and self-criticism alike. It can be excruciating to navigate through the abstruse mass of emotion, layered perspectives, and the fluctuating ideas of identity.  Delineating between who we are to ourselves and who we perceive ourselves to be in relation to others has brought many of us down a long path towards self-discovery.  It is important that we move forward with a growth mindset, avoiding the cyclic entrapment of self-degradation and the deceptive nature of self-distortion. In other words, instead of adopting the deficit-mentality of looking at ourselves half-empty, we can learn to reinvent ourselves with an additive-mentality to become half-full. This project intends to elucidate the multiplicities of our journey to accomplish this goal.
